Toxic Workplace Culture
A factory was experiencing high absenteeism, high wastage, high overtime and low productivity. An employee had gone off on stress leave and pressure was mounting for results from the overseas parent company. With allegations of favoritism, nepotism, bullying and sexual harassment the organisation was at crisis point.
A thorough review was conducted using our methodology. This provided insight into understanding the dynamics and importantly the root cause. A key element was also understanding the impacts to individuals, the department and the business.
A detailed report was submitted and presented to the leadership team with detailed recommendations. We worked with the team through implementation to see a 40% improvement in business metrics in the first six weeks and the reduction in risk of potential legal cases.
A high profile accounting firm had implemented a values program and wanted to understand the issues that were potentially blocking its implementation. They also wanted to clearly define the current culture of the business.
We worked with the team to design a customised process and then we implemented the program. At the conclusion of the program a report was prepared for the leadership team with recommendations and a clear path highlighted for the next stages of implementation of their cultural change program.
Understanding the blocks meant the organisation did not waste money on planned cultural change initiatives.
Integration of Two Business Divisions
A newly appointed General Manager of a multinational wanted to structurally and culturally integrate two business units. His aim was to create a 1+1=3 result harnessing the potential of the people behind a common vision and purpose. The challenge was the organisation had acquired businesses over many years without truly integrating the multiple cultures of the business.
We partnered with the project team to understand the two groups coming together and designed a pathway to integration comprising a number of programs over a two year period. A key success factor will be the involvement of the HR team who will provide implementation support for the programs.
